Community Guidelines

Last updated · Viewzar is a brand of HorizonRift Media Private Limited

Contents

The Viewzar Content Feed is a place for short, entertaining videos about products. These Community Guidelines explain what you can post there, what you cannot, and what happens when someone breaks the rules. They apply to everyone who posts, comments, follows, shares or otherwise takes part in the Content Feed, including Brands and our own team.

These Community Guidelines form part of our Terms and Conditions. Copyright is covered in more detail in our Copyright and Takedown Policy, and how we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. Viewzar is operated by HorizonRift Media Private Limited.

1. What the Content Feed is for

1.1. The Content Feed is a scrollable stream of short vertical videos ("Clips") between 3 seconds and 3 minutes long. Anyone can watch, whether or not they are signed in. Anyone with a Viewzar account can post, like, comment, save, follow, share, report and block.

1.2. Every Clip should be about a product or service, and should be worth watching for its own sake. We want people to enjoy the Feed, learn something, and discover things they might like to buy.

2. What we love to see

Clips that are fun, useful and honest. For example:

  • Skits and short stories in which a product plays a part,
  • Demos and how-tos that show what a product does and how to use it,
  • Unboxings and first impressions,
  • Before and after videos that show a real result,
  • Honest reviews, including what you did not like,
  • Satisfying videos, such as pouring, slicing, packing, cleaning or restoring, and
  • Fair comparisons between products, based on what you actually saw.

A few tips: show the product clearly, keep the Clip as short as it can be, say what you really think, and give credit to the people who made the Clip with you.

3. Who can take part

3.1. You must be 18 or over. Accounts are only for people aged eighteen (18) and over. We ask for your date of birth when you set up your account, and it must be true. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under eighteen (18), we remove it at once. If you think someone under eighteen (18) has an account, please report their profile.

3.2. Be yourself. Each person may hold one account. Do not create accounts in someone else's name, buy or borrow accounts, or create new accounts to get around a strike, a posting ban or a removal.

3.3. Usernames. Your username is shown on your profile at viewzar.com/@username. It must be 3 to 30 characters long and use only lowercase letters, numbers, dots and underscores. It must not impersonate any person, Brand or Viewzar, must not be offensive, and must not suggest that you are official or verified when you are not. We may change or reclaim a username that breaks these rules.

3.4. Your profile. Your photo, display name, bio and link in bio must follow these Community Guidelines just like your Clips.

4. What is not allowed

You must not post, upload, link to, comment or share any of the following. These rules mirror Section 34 of our Terms and Conditions, adapted for the Feed.

  1. Nudity and sexual content. No nudity, sexual acts, sexually explicit or pornographic material, sexual services, or content that focuses on intimate body parts in a sexual way, and no links to such material. Products such as innerwear and swimwear may be shown in a plain, non-sexual way.
  2. Anything that sexualises minors. Never post, request or link to any material that sexualises a person under eighteen (18), in any form, real, drawn or generated. We remove it, remove the account at once, and report it to the authorities as the law requires. Anyone under eighteen (18) who appears in a Clip must appear with the consent of their parent or lawful guardian, and never in a way that is harmful, exploitative or sexualised.
  3. Violence and gore. No real violence, graphic injuries, blood and gore, cruelty to animals, or content that promotes, glorifies or threatens violence, terrorism, self-harm or suicide.
  4. Weapons. No content that sells, promotes or shows how to make or obtain firearms, ammunition, explosives or other weapons. Kitchen knives, tools and similar products shown for their normal use are fine.
  5. Drugs. No content that promotes, sells or shows the use of illegal drugs or controlled substances, or the misuse of medicines. No promotion of tobacco, nicotine, vaping or alcohol products where the law does not allow it.
  6. Hate and harassment. No content or comments that attack, demean or threaten people because of their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, region, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any similar characteristic. No bullying, threats, stalking, unwanted sexual comments, or sharing someone's private information, such as their phone number, address or private photos.
  7. Scams and spam. No fake giveaways, phishing, requests for one-time codes, passwords or payments, get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid or multi-level schemes, or links that hide where they go. No buying or selling of likes, follows, views or comments, no bots or automation, and no posting the same thing over and over to get attention.
  8. Misleading product claims. No claims about a product that are false, exaggerated or cannot be backed up, especially health, medical, weight-loss, beauty, financial or earnings claims. No fake reviews or testimonials, and no before and after videos that are edited to mislead.
  9. Undisclosed paid promotion. If you were paid, given the product free, or have any other connection with the Brand, say so clearly in the Clip or at the start of the caption, for example with "#ad", "#collab" or "#sponsored", as the Advertising Standards Council of India guidelines require.
  10. Impersonation. Do not pretend to be another person, a creator, a Brand, a public figure or Viewzar. Fan and parody accounts must say clearly that they are not the real person or Brand. Videos made or altered with AI that could pass for real must be labelled as such, and must never show a real person saying or doing something they did not say or do.
  11. Other people's content without permission. Only post Clips you made yourself or have permission to post. Do not re-upload videos from Instagram, YouTube, television, films or other creators, do not use music, footage or images you have no right to use, and do not remove watermarks or credits. Giving credit is not the same as having permission. See our Copyright and Takedown Policy.
  12. Prohibited products and services. Do not promote gambling, betting and real-money gaming, illegal products and services, weapons, drugs and controlled substances, tobacco and nicotine products where advertising is unlawful, explicit sexual content, counterfeit goods, pyramid or multi-level schemes, unregistered investment advice, or political parties or candidates. Government awareness campaigns are permitted.
  13. Dangerous challenges and stunts. No challenges, pranks or stunts that could get someone hurt, especially ones others might copy, such as eating things that are not food, stunts on roads, rooftops or vehicles, playing with fire, or using a product in a way its instructions warn against.
  14. Other unlawful content. Nothing that is defamatory, invasive of someone's privacy, filmed of people in private places without their consent, or otherwise unlawful, and nothing that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states or public order.

5. Captions, comments and conduct

5.1. Captions. Captions can be up to 2,200 characters long and can include links, hashtags and @mentions. Keep them relevant to the Clip. Hashtags should describe the Clip, not just borrow popular tags.

5.2. Comments. Comments can have one level of replies. Disagree with a product or an opinion, not with the person. Be kind to creators who are just starting out.

5.3. Mentions. Mention people only when they are part of the Clip or the conversation. Do not mention people to harass them or to get their attention for an unrelated Clip.

5.4. Automatic checks. Captions and comments are checked automatically for slurs, spam and scam patterns. A comment that contains a blocked word is not posted, and a caption that contains one waits for review.

5.5. Blocking. If someone bothers you, you can block them. An account you block cannot see your profile or comment on your Clips, and a block ends any follows between you.

5.6. Engagement must be real. Do not trade likes, follows or comments, use engagement groups, or ask people to engage in return for money or gifts.

6.1. You can add one link in your bio and links in your captions.

6.2. Every link to another website opens a "You're leaving Viewzar" page first, so people know they are going somewhere else. Links are checked against a list of blocked websites, and a link to a blocked website cannot be posted or opened. Links on Viewzar do not pass search engine ranking to the websites they point to.

6.3. Do not link to scams, phishing, malware, adult content, gambling or betting, or websites that sell prohibited products. Do not use link shorteners or redirects to hide where a link goes.

6.4. We do not control other websites and are not responsible for what they show or sell. Any purchase you make on another website is between you and that website.

7. Brands on the Feed

7.1. Brands can post Clips that carry a Brand badge and a "View campaign" button. Brand Clips must follow these Community Guidelines like any other Clip.

7.2. Brands are responsible for every claim made about their products, and for following the law and the Advertising Standards Council of India guidelines. A Brand badge shows who posted the Clip. It does not mean that Viewzar endorses the product.

7.3. Our own team seeds the Feed only with Clips we own or have written permission to post.

8. How we check Clips

8.1. Every Clip and its cover is checked automatically before it goes live, for nudity, sexual content, gore, violence, weapons, drugs and hate symbols. Clear violations are blocked. Borderline Clips wait for a person on our team to review them.

8.2. The first 3 Clips posted by a new account are reviewed by a person before they appear on the Feed.

8.3. Exact re-uploads of Clips already on Viewzar are flagged for review.

8.4. No check is perfect. Passing our checks does not mean a Clip follows these Community Guidelines, and we may still remove it later. More about how screening works is in our Privacy Policy.

9. Reporting

9.1. You can report any Clip, comment or profile. Choose the reason that fits best:

  • nudity or sexual content,
  • violence or gore,
  • hate or harassment,
  • copyright, or "this is my video",
  • misleading product claims,
  • spam or scam, or
  • something else.

9.2. Our team reviews every report and removes the content, warns the person who posted it, or dismisses the report. We do not tell the person you reported who reported them.

9.3. If you own the copyright in a video that someone else has posted, you can also send a formal complaint through our copyright complaint form.

9.4. If a Clip shows you in nudity or a sexual act, or impersonates you, including with morphed or AI-generated images, write to our Grievance Officer as described on our Grievance Officer page. We act on these complaints within twenty-four (24) hours.

9.5. If someone is in immediate danger, call the emergency number 112 first.

9.6. Please report in good faith. Repeatedly making false reports is itself a breach of these Community Guidelines.

10. How enforcement works

10.1. Removal. We remove Clips, comments, captions, profile details and links that break these Community Guidelines. When we remove a Clip, we tell the person who posted it.

10.2. Strikes. Each confirmed breach of these Community Guidelines gives the account a strike:

Strike What happens
First strike A warning
Second strike You cannot post for 7 days
Third strike Your account is removed

10.3. Serious breaches. For the most serious breaches, we may skip the steps above and remove the account at once. These include anything that sexualises minors, credible threats of violence, terrorist content, scams and fraud, and creating accounts to get around an earlier removal.

10.4. Copyright. Each upheld copyright complaint is a copyright strike, counted separately from the strikes above. Three upheld copyright complaints and the account is removed. A Clip with an open copyright complaint does not earn any campaign money or payouts.

10.5. Separate from marketplace strikes. Strikes on the Feed are separate from the strikes described in Section 35 of our Terms and Conditions, which affect Creators' payouts. Our other rights under the Terms and Conditions, including the right to suspend or close any account, still apply.

10.6. Removed accounts. If your account is removed, you must not create a new one or use Viewzar through someone else's account.

11. Appeals

11.1. If you think we made a mistake, write to [email protected] within thirty (30) days of our decision. Include the link to the Clip, comment or profile and explain why you think the decision was wrong. A person on our team will review it.

11.2. We may keep, change or reverse the decision. If we reverse it, we restore the content where we can and remove the strike.

11.3. You can also raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, as described on our Grievance Officer page.

12. Our team decides

12.1. These Community Guidelines cannot cover every situation. Our team decides whether content or conduct breaks them, and takes context into account, such as whether a Clip is educational, newsworthy or clearly a joke.

12.2. Our decisions are final, subject to the appeal in Section 11, the grievance process and the dispute resolution terms in our Terms and Conditions.

12.3. We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. We will show the date of the latest update at the top of this page and tell you about important changes.
