# How views are counted

Views are read from Instagram's own data for your registered account, checked for fraud, and counted for 30 days after you post or until the campaign ends. A reel earns nothing below 1,000 views; once it passes, every view counts.

## Where the numbers come from

Verified views come from Instagram's official data for your registered account, never from screenshots. That is why your account needs to be a Creator or Business account. See [Register your Instagram accounts](/help/register-instagram-accounts).

The views you type when submitting are recorded as **reported**. They help our team check reels by hand when Instagram's data is not available yet. You are paid on **verified** views.

## How often we check

- Every hour for the first 48 hours after you post.
- Every 6 hours until day 7.
- Once a day after that.

## How long a reel is tracked

For **30 days** after you post it, or until the campaign ends if that is sooner. Views after that do not earn.

## Minimum views to qualify

A reel must reach **1,000** verified views (a campaign can set its own minimum) before it earns anything. Once it passes, all of its views count, including the first 1,000.

## Things that stop a reel earning

- **Deleting the reel** before tracking ends forfeits any earnings not yet released.
- **Budget used up or campaign paused**: views are still verified but not paid while a campaign is out of budget or paused, and they are not paid later even if the brand adds budget. If several reels cross the line together, the last of the budget is shared between them in proportion to their new views.
- **Campaign ended**: tracking stops for all reels when a campaign ends.
- **Caps**: a campaign can cap earnings per reel and per creator.
- **Fraud**: views from bots or bought engagement are not paid. See [Verified views and fraud checks](/help/verified-views-and-fraud).
